Benoît Thévard

Benoît Thévard holds an Energy Engineering degree from the école des Mines. After working in the aeronautics industry for many years, he decided to switch careers as he become aware that he was not in a future sector. After receiving his degree, he spent many years in an eco-village in Quebec that for almost twenty years, has been preparing for life in the post-oil era. Since returning to France, he has been running the blog www.avenir-sans-petrole.org, conducting research activities on the resilience of territories and travelling throughout France to inform citizens, elected officials and companies, via conferences, of society’s necessary and urgent transition. He is also a member of the prospective association, Next World, as well as Zéco SCIC, an ecological construction cluster in the Centre of France.
